Initially released in late 1995, the Toyota Tacoma has earned its right to be amongst the few go-to rigs for many adventurers. As adventurers, we rely on our vehicles to be comfortable, capable, and durable. The Tacoma checks all of these boxes and more which is why it has become America’s leading mid-size pickup.
Its latest generation is no exception to the perceptions. And when fully wrapped in ARB gear, the rig is unstoppable. For this reason, it has become one of our most successful applications.
Here we have our number two of four 3rd Gen Tacoma’s that we have built over the last half decade. This one we call The Inferno Taco, whose name derives from its paint color Inferno. Aside from it being a less common color, we chose Inferno because the color sticks out here in the gloomy Pacific Northwest. This rig has traveled through the country while making pit stops at shows such as Overland Expo and SEMA 2017.
The build has had many phases throughout its tenure. Its initial goal was to build a minimalistic Tacoma that suits everyone, without sacrificing quality and integrity – here’s how we did it.
