Designed to handle harsh conditions in the Australian Outback, the integrity and reliability of ARB Awnings have earned them their reputation across off-road and outdoor recreation communities. Attaching neatly to most vehicles, these self-standing retractable awnings fit onto the side of most roof racks and roof bars, and are conveniently stored for immediate use on arrival.
ARB Awnings come with stainless steel mounting nuts and bolts, however awning mounting brackets are not included so that fitment may be tailored to vehicle and use.
This article covers the different mounting options to install your ARB awning so you may purchase the proper mounting bracket for your needs.
ARB offers a quick release and fixed mounting solution for their range of roof racks along with a universal bracket for non-ARB racks. Many cross-bar racks have mounting channels which can be used to bolt the universal bracket to the rack.
Keep in mind:
- A minimum of two brackets are required to mount ARB Awnings, while three brackets are highly recommended for the 2500MM Aluminum and PVC Bag Awning.
- No more than 27 inches of unsupported overhang is recommended.
- Ensure the opening of doors and the tailgate does not interfere with the mounting location of the awning.
