As we head towards 2022 – we reflect on some of our greatest memories over the last 12 months. We have had our fair share of awesome new product releases and we have made our way back to off-road and overland events. We have continued to grow and have had opportunities to work with some of the greatest companies, big or small, which we are forever grateful for. But some of our favorite memories are being able to watch and follow your builds every year. Here’s a handful of our favorite builds that we have come across this year. Be sure to continue tagging us for a chance to get featured in the future. Lastly – thank you to our ARB community and fans for another spectacular year!
JEEP WRANGLER JL UNLIMITED
What does the perfect overland build consist of? Sleeping quarters to rest in after a long day of adventuring? Shade to relax and prepare meals under? Protection equipment to keep your rig safe from animals and trail debris? Larger tires for clearance against boulders and logs? Suspension to support each of the accessories that are needed for extended, remote travel? This Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited checks all the boxes.
Featuring ARB’s Bondi Deluxe front bumper which houses its winch and Baja Designs fog lights. Sitting on top of the front bumper are none other than the ARB Solis Intensity lights. The Gobi Rack is the perfect mounting location for the Roof Nest RTT and ARB Aluminum Awning.
TOYOTA TACOMA 1ST GEN
The ultimate exploration build that you may have come across if you call the Pacific Northwest home. This 1st Gen Toyota Tacoma is a prime example of a great DIY build. The front focal point is none other than the ARB Deluxe Bumper. But the heart of this build is in the rear – it’s a custom DIY camper canopy. That’s right, the owner built this with his own two hands. It secures the components of the bed which feature a custom storage and seating area along with a fridge and other accessories. This custom canopy was also used as the perfect platform for the Free Spirit Recreation RTT and awning.
The interior was not abandoned – it features a custom RAM mount that holds an iPad and Garmin GPS for navigation when off the grid. Heading down to the bottom, the entire build sits on the popular Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires.
TOYOTA LAND CRUISER 80 SERIES
This 80 Series Land Cruiser may be one of the best overall builds around. No matter what terrain or obstacle it comes across, it’s ready to tackle it.
Literally wrapped in ARB armor; this build features ARB’s Deluxe Front Bumper, fender protection rails that connect to the steps, and the popular Modular Rear Bumper with tire carrier and jerry can holder.
The ARB Air Lockers and 3.12:1 transfer case accompanied by the clearance and footprint of a 37” tall tire allows this rig to crawl over just about anything. And when it finally reaches camp – the OVK RTT and Awning are a painless setup.
JEEP GLADIATOR RUBICON
Sure, anyone can build an off-road vehicle with some of the best parts on the market. But not everyone will actually put it to the test. This Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is constantly being tested and the owner has the receipts to prove it. This rig is not built with a single purpose in mind – whether it be rock crawling, overlanding, or simply exploring beautiful British Columbia.
