Select your ideal Old Man Emu (OME) suspension kit from our range of shock options, including the Nitrocharger, MT64, and the BP-51, each designed to meet the demands of diverse terrains and driving styles.
When selecting front suspension components, load is the primary consideration to achieve desired lift and clearance, while ensuring proper geometry and ride comfort. Similarly, rear suspension selection should be based on the load the vehicle will consistently carry. Whether you're hauling gear, towing, or running a canopy setup, OME offers multiple spring rates to match varying weight demands as well as control arms helping you maintain performance, control, and stance under load.
Each kit is tailored to suit the specific vehicle and its intended use.
Most vehicles have multiple spring options available, each engineered to match specific vehicle setups and the accessories fitted. This ensures the right spring rate for your build, delivering a reliable lift within safe design limits.
Engineered for improved load-carrying capacity and better handling, OME leaf springs offer a more controlled ride whether you’re hauling gear or heading off-road.
OME Control Arms are purpose-built to correct suspension geometry on lifted 4WDs. They restore proper alignment, improve handling, reduce tire wear, and increase travel ensuring your suspension upgrade performs as it should, on-road and off.
Constand load is the total additional weight from permanent aftermarket accessories (Bumpers, lights, winch, roof rack, etc.) that your vehicle will carry. Under what constant load will be placed on the front and rear of your vehicle ensures that your suspension kit lasts longer and performs better.
Generally, upgrading control arms is recommended when installing a suspension lift kit, especially if the lift height is 2 inches or more. Upgrading can improve handling, stability, and ensure proper wheel alignment after the suspension lift.
Shocks are just one part of the equation, your springs do the heavy lifting. Whether it’s coils or leafs, upgraded springs are essential for achieving proper ride height, ground clearance, and load support. At Old Man Emu, we engineer a full range of spring options to suit your setup—whether your rig is stock or fully outfitted with gear. From light-duty to heavy-duty options rated for over 800lbs of constant load, each spring is precisely tuned to deliver the lift you need and the handling performance to match.
Thanks to the larger body design of our Nitrocharger Plus and MT64 shocks, built for increased oil volume and enhanced performance, your factory front coil springs won't fit. But here's the good news: the new MT64 front shocks now come pre-assembled as full coilovers, just like our BP-51 range. That means no need to purchase separate coil springs—everything you need is ready to bolt in and hit the trail.
