ABOUT THE BUILD

The 2025 4Runner SR5 gives ARB a familiar platform to work from. It’s been updated and modernized, but the fundamentals that make the 4Runner a favorite on the trail are still there, including body-on-frame construction, a low-range transfer case, and suspension geometry that responds well to lift kits and larger tires.

For this build, ARB focused on improving trail performance and making the vehicle easier on long days outside. The suspension provides more clearance and better control over uneven terrain, while skid protection and sliders guard critical components. Lighting and electrical accessories extend usable hours after dark, and a powered fridge makes full-day trips more convenient.

BUILT FOR EVERYDAY
EXPLORING

The ARB Edition 4Runner is designed for everyday use but built to shine when the pavement ends. It is comfortable and easy to drive around town, yet delivers increased capability and confidence on rocky, rutted, and loose-surface terrain. The upgrades improve control, clearance, and protection in environments where factory-equipped vehicles often reach their limits.

The result is a well-rounded trail vehicle that feels familiar on daily commutes but is also capable and self-sufficient during off-road day trips.

SUSPENSION

The 4Runner received a 3" Old Man Emu Suspension Kit paired with Old Man Emu Forged Upper Control Arms to increase ground clearance, improve wheel travel, and restore proper suspension geometry at the lifted ride height.

PROTECTION & ARMOR

ARB’s Zenith Winch Front Bumper improves approach clearance and integrates a winch mount. Skid plates protect critical components underneath, and Summit Side Steps add rocker protection and easier cabin access.

2025 4Runner lighting setup

LIGHTING

Lighting upgrades from Nacho include Quatro Spot lights on the bumper for forward visibility, Quatro Floods at the A-pillars for slow technical terrain, and Nano lights on the rack for camp and low-speed maneuvering.
